The Kashmir Files

Updated: Mar 23, 2022

A movie rightly hyped, a gem for many and a trend for some. This movie is capable of shaking grounds of belief, it shook mine.

The acceptance that we know so little of our history because it is altered to suit the authority in power reminds me of something george orwell wrote in his book '1984', Is the past rewritten every single day qualifies to be our past?

The movie is not about religion war, it is not about politics but about the core reason of all above and that is what humans are capable of, not just violence but a catastrophic destruction of humanism.

It is a story of reality that seems so unreal as I look outside my window, like the pain of jews and armenians and asians. I feel numb and cry reading about them but I can never really feel the pain, who even can feel the pain of being raped, brutally murdered or shot dead if not the victim himself/herself.

This movie made me think of my beliefs in heaven and hell and what role exactly do we play in it because the most dangerous afterall always comes out to be humans. And if it's not scary then I don't know what is.

I will take this below mentioned line with me if that's possible.

"टूटे हुए लोग बोलते नहीं, उन्हें सुना जाता है”
