We cannot watch the harsh reality of our world's principles with rose tinted glasses and Mr. Galder Gaztelu took it to heart. The platform is a dark psychological thriller which will not let you breathe before it catches you ofguard with a better metaphor. The whole theme was to signify the greed of food chain irrespective of the changes in position of the same. It made me think of something, all this evolution of sophistication and yet our first instinct at the face of adversity is that of raw survival like that of a cornered animal. We are not evolving in nature, we are the tribal hunters who are upgrading their weapons to improve survival rate and that's it.
The most beautiful idea was to end the movie with no definite ending. The significance of open endings are to make sure that you take the movie with you to your bed and think about it and draw your own conclusion, I like that idea not so much as Haruki Murakami though but still I like the idea. The few small details were absolutely mind blowing like the 333 as total number of platforms signifying answered prayers and a child symbolizing the message.
A well constructed masterpiece in short.
